Four priorities of my administration
Alan Keyes
1. Restore our moral sovereignty

I would restore moral sovereignty. It's something I think I can do very simply as president by declaring that no action taken by the executive branch would support, aid, or abet anyone who is destroying the constitutional rights of those who are in the womb. I would sign an executive order to that effect on day one, and we would reestablish this government's commitment to the constitutional rights of our posterity. Folks talk about our posterity, but you can't really respect them if you're killing them in the womb.
2. Abolish the income tax
If you want to secure the blessings of liberty for the American people, you cut off the spigot that funds the political ambition of our leaders by abolishing the income tax and restoring control of 100% of their income to the American worker. That means you replace it with a FairTax system that puts the American people in control of their money. By doing that, you will encourage the politicians to limit their spending to that which actually produces results for the American people. We need to start actually implementing the FairTax proposal that will end the wasteful spending of our leaders by putting them under the discipline of a people who can actually withhold their taxes by changing their patterns of spending.
3. Enforce our borders
I would establish a National Border Guard. I would seal the borders of the United States so that only those who cross our borders are subject to our laws and the terms of those laws. And I would encourage, through this national border guard, a real respect for the security that must be maintained along this border if we're serious about the war on terror. These are the things that our national security demands.
4. Protect marriage and the family
I think the Federal Marriage Amendment is absolutely essential. Because of the Constitution's Full Faith and Credit Clause, we're now in a situation

where if one state adopts homosexual marriage, the couples "married" in that state can fan out all over the country to challenge marriage laws. The only way to protect against that is to have an amendment that makes it clear that marriage in America is between one man and one woman.
